Controlled TestFlight for invited adult testers in Israel. These documents cover this limited beta and its supporting services, not a worldwide public App Store release. Supabase authentication and the Rork-free report backend are deployed. Routine server retention is not automated; the retention section explains the current limits.

This release is limited to invited adult testers aged 18 or older in Israel through a controlled TestFlight. It is not a worldwide public App Store release.

A little more context before you head outside. These terms explain the service, your responsibilities, and the limits of wildlife reports.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Don’t Get Eaten by a Bear, operated by Emmanuel Adhoute, an individual based in Israel (“we”, “us”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed. Contact support@dontgeteatenbyabear.com for questions or support.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. It is intended for adults and is not offered to anyone under 18. Parental or guardian permission does not make someone under 18 eligible. You must also be legally able to accept these terms. Access to this beta is limited to invited adult testers in Israel; these terms do not announce worldwide public availability.

2. Wildlife safety comes first

The app does not guarantee your safety, detect nearby animals in real time, or provide emergency assistance. Never use a report, risk label, or absence of sightings as proof that an area is safe.

Reports use Tavily’s AI research and synthesis and are formatted by the service. They are informational material. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or based on limited evidence. Citations, confidence indicators, and risk labels do not turn a report into a scientific risk assessment or a prediction of an encounter. Community sightings are unverified and may be mistaken or misleading.

Use your own judgment and current guidance from park staff, wildlife authorities, and local emergency services. Follow closures, posted rules, and local laws. Do not approach, feed, follow, or disturb wildlife to use this app or submit a sighting. In an emergency, contact local emergency services; the app does not monitor or respond to emergencies. Maps, coordinates, research, and delivery can fail or be delayed.

3. Accounts and access

Submitting community sightings and accessing account-linked reports require Sign in with Apple through Supabase. Reports can also be requested without signing in. Keep guest report access tokens private; losing a token or removing its local copy can prevent access to a guest report. Keep control of your sign-in accounts and device. Do not impersonate another person, access their reports, share access tokens, bypass purchase or access controls, or interfere with the service. Access also depends on the availability of the third-party services used by the app.

4. Community submissions

Submit sightings honestly, only from a safe situation, and only with information you have the right to share. Do not include another person’s private information, unlawful content, harassment, or material that encourages harm to wildlife. Precise coordinates and notes can be viewed by other users and used in reports.

You retain any rights you have in your submitted content. You give us permission to store, process, reproduce, display, and share that content as needed to operate the community-sightings and report features, including through service providers. This permission does not transfer ownership. Removing source records cannot recall copies already delivered in reports or emails.

5. Report purchases

The report feature uses a consumable, one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. In this TestFlight beta, Apple in-app purchases use the sandbox: testers are not charged and test purchases do not carry over to an App Store version. See Apple’s TestFlight information. The intended public product price is $4.99 with localized storefront pricing; this beta does not announce or authorize that public release. Apple handles the purchase flow and RevenueCat supports verification. One verified transaction is linked to one report request. The agreed retention targets are described in the Privacy Policy. Automatic expiry is not active, and a purchase does not guarantee indefinite server availability. Keep a device copy of reports you want to retain.

Research, generation, and email delivery depend on external services and can take time or fail. Eligible failed reports can be retried using their existing purchase information, subject to service limits and verification. Retries are limited and may require support; we do not promise unlimited regeneration. Email acceptance by the delivery provider does not guarantee arrival in your inbox. A purchase does not guarantee particular findings, the presence or absence of an animal, immediate delivery, or safety. Keep your purchase and report identifiers if you need help.

Use the app’s Restore Purchases option where applicable; restoration does not promise recovery of a consumed report credit or a locally removed report. For billing or refund requests, use Apple’s refund process. Eligibility is determined under Apple’s applicable terms and law. Deleting data or uninstalling the app does not automatically issue a refund. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

6. Reports and third-party material

You may use the app and your reports for personal informational purposes. Do not misrepresent generated material as official wildlife guidance or as a professionally verified assessment. Source websites and third-party services may have their own terms and intellectual-property rights; a report does not grant rights to republish their material. We do not promise that AI-generated content is unique or eligible for exclusive ownership.

7. Availability and ending use

We do not guarantee continuous, error-free, or offline availability. Features may change or become unavailable. You can stop using the service at any time. Account-linked deletion is available in Profile, subject to the limits described in the Privacy Policy’s deletion section. Successful deletion removes the Supabase account and associated reports and sightings and clears saved reports on the current device. Guest reports on the server, purchase-redemption and provider purchase records, older identity records, and previously delivered copies are not all removed by that action. Apple access revocation can require an additional step shown in the app.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Such restrictions do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer law.

8. Disclaimers and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and its informational content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Outdoor activity and wildlife are unpredictable; make decisions based on the conditions you encounter and authoritative local guidance.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not impose a fixed liability cap, mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or a chosen court or governing law. Applicable law determines those matters.

9. Updates and contact

Updated terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Changes do not override rights that already arose under applicable law. For service questions, report problems, or account assistance, contact support@dontgeteatenbyabear.com.
